Public Transport from Hikkaduwa

Take the bus or train to Galle and from there either take a direct bus to Deniyaya or leaving more frequently you can take take a bus to Akuressa and then Deniyaya. From Deniyaya bus stand you can take a tuk tuk to the river (Rs.350) or walking is about 5 km mostly downhill. 

Natural Mystic Sanctuary is accessed by crossing through a shallow river and going up a rough stone road to the top of the hill. It is a lovely walk up through the tea plantations and takes about 15 mins to walk up. Most people can walk up with their bags however the road is not suitable for suitcases/trolleys. With advance notice we can help to bring your luggage up or arrange to bring people up. Please let us know when booking if you need help.  

Please try to arrive during daylight (before 6:00 p.m.) as it is difficult to find us after dark.
